Why It Is Hard To Cook In A Small Kitchen

The one thing I would change about my house is the size of my kitchen. If I had enough money, I would create an addition to my house that expands the kitchen and dinning room. My hubby works for a steel sheeting company and has experience in the building game so I think he could oversee this project.
Presently there are four people in the house. The dinning room is attached to the kitchen and is only large enough to accomodate a round table. The kitchen is a walk through and if you closed up one of the doorways, it would be U-shaped. When there is more than one person in the kitchen, you have to keep to your own space or ask the other person to move so you can get items out of the cabinets. We cannot entertain in our home because there is not enough space. Besides, cooking a holiday meal would be impossible because there is a lack of cupboard space. I have to store pots, pans, casserole dishes, baking dishes, and other items in the basement. Therefore, I have to frequently carry items up and down the steps to be able to cook. If I had enough money, I would expand my kitchen and dinning room so everyday cooking and entertaining during the holidays would be more enjoyable for the entire family.
