Why I Admire the Beautiful Parks of Norway

One of the most striking things about vacationing in Scandinavia is how clean it is. Not just the cleanliness of the beautiful nature, but the cleanliness of the cities. This is most true in Norway. Having worked in the self drive sweeper hire for a few years, I do take special note of how countries keep themselves tidy, and Norway scores very highly.
There, when the teens descend on the city parks on the few warm days of the summer they come and eat and drink and smoke and play, and when they are done there is no trace that they were ever there. No trash, no waste, nothing is left behind for "someone else" to deal with. The public places are clean and litter-free all day long. So one can not say that humans simply can not be expected to do this. Norway is living proof that humans can. But it just takes the mentality of a society to make it happen.
