Problems with my friends broadband account abroad

I have a friend out in india, he used to live over here but moved there for work purposes. He has been having a lot of trouble with his broadband connection out there though. I wasn't sure what he was on about because he called me one day and said I Forgot My BSNL Password and i was like, what? i didn't even know it had anything to do with broadband until i had done some research on it. From the looks of it this password is basically used to get on the internet in simple terms. I do not know how he forgot it to be honest but there you go. I tried going through some steps to see if it is possible to reset the password online somehow but it did not want to know. I asked if he had spoke with their tech support but he said they were not help. I tried explaining that someone there must either know his password or be able to tell him how to get a new one.
