I've chosen to work this Christmas - my company offers me double pay, but more importantly it keeps me busy. It seems that Christmas in the west appeals to the glutton in us - we're given license to eat as much as we like, get drunk everyday, and generally let ourselves go. Then by the time 1st January comes around, through the haze of our hangovers, we make such false promises to ourselves - promises of getting fit and healthy, wealthy and wise. For me, I don't like this hypocrisy. I'd rather keep healthy and wealthy during the holidays, and also bargain hunting from Boxing Day onwards - I bought some great camisole lingerie for example in the Boxing Day sales.
My advice is to start your resolutions early - start them now, and you'll have a much better chance of keeping it going from 1st January as you'll have already been put to the test during the party season! |

I love wearing gladiator high heel shoes in the warmer months of spring and summer, and there's no better time than now to buy a pair on sale - as they're not exactly in demand during the snowy winter months!
They look fantastic with any dress, and keep your feet nice and air conditioned at the same time. They're perfect for going out to parties, the pub or clubs. I also found you can easily look fashionable in gladiator sandals if you don't have the confidence to wear the high heels.
I think they've been made fashionable by a lot of celebs wearing them and you know how it goes - as soon as some celeb is wearing something, you find suddenly your high street is full of women wearing the very same item a few weeks later - shoes are no different, let me tell you!
